An extremely delightful trip to the wonderful land of Paradiso Village located in a lagoon in Padang, Sumatra. Its hospitable hosts made this unwinding trip truly beautiful and memorable.

Nature's greatest architect

The Baya Weavers bathing in golden lite. Finally Jeff managed to pull his lazy carcass and position it strategically to welcome the male making an entrance to its nest. Sweet.

Not just about birds

Certainly not. The beauty of photography lies in ones' ability to create visions that resonates from within. When I saw this single tree in a forest of pines, I was jumping for joy as the vision simply clicks. Certainly outstanding in current context and proud to be the last tree standing. To some extent, it also hint at the photographer's ability to be different and to embrace differences. My question to you is, which are you?

Jungle Jewel

Like a tiny sun lighting up the dark canopy floor of the tropical forest. This beautiful bird is an Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher, a rare winter visitor to our land. Coupled with a buddy we went hunting and lady luck was definitely on our side. Soon popped this tiny little sunshine displaying it full feathers in all its glory at point blank. The wonders of Nature's work.

Recovery

A while ago these oriental pied hornbills were experiencing super critical low population level at home when suddenly the population took a spike recently. Success in population recovery is attributed to continued efforts by the relevant authorities and nature society to sustain and breed the birds. Tis no wonder this male hornbill is happily ferrying lizards to feed the seal-in female in the nest. Lets hope this nesting attempt will be a success with fully fledged chicks at breakout.

Fast food delivery

It's tough being a male Hornbill. During sealed in period, food delivery was performed at twice hourly interval. Fortunately it does have its resting period after 5pm :) Office hours!

Hid n Sek

An extremely common Richard's Pipit found in the open grass field yet uncommon to the average human eye. Such is the art of seeing.
