Pied Triller

To think that the reticent Jeff got a PAIR! Yes a pair. Shown male. For the past 3 days, Jeff has spent the longest period of his life making images of avians and for a good reason. With each image created, passion develops into flame and becomes highly contagious. The flame of excitement. The ability to observe and foretell definitely helps plenty here.
Look into my crystal ball and you will be surprised by what u see. Want a peek?

On his way home, Jeff passed by a construction site and wanted very much to stop in his stride and capture a moment or two. However, he allowed that thought to flow away. Probably should have just let it flow with instincts. Wonder what's inside his head these days. Nothing is concrete. Nothing is good.

Disabling the Lens drive function improves the AF lock hit rate dramatically, especially for inflight shots.

Bronze Cuckoo

Pack of 4 in evening light. After a strenuous day of photographing nesting olive-backed, Jeff processed his work with keen delight, savouring every moment of his golden catch. Today, he learnt to use flash to his advantage, even if it meant for the few tens of a frame to understand its logic.

Olive-backed

The entire park was theming with activities and melodious chorus when Jeff arrived in the morning. A cool morning breather from the brewing turbulence at work.
First, it was the sunbirds. Though in great abundance, these feathers never keep still for more than 3s. If they do, probably tis after a quite meal. Interestingly, only the olive-backed species r present and not a hint of other sunbirds in the near vicinity.
Then there was the brilliant male Iora, making a quick appearance to scavenge for food under the canopy, presumable to feed its fledging chicks crying in another corner. But that would be for another day, if Jeff remembers. Memory is not a trait of late.

A moment

Seems almost natural to raise the LCD to eye level to compose and make an memory. The question is
"what is photography when one is deprived of the joy of peering through the viewfinder?"
Absolutely nothing.

From behind

I had probably 5s to find the correct spot to press the shutter. Apparently Jeff had forgotton to adjust his height before the lady noticed. Just another day.
Of late, Jeff has the impression that staying put is a very poor judgement on his side. Mediocrity has become just too rampant to be ignored.

160

Jeff blew his VIP tic to the "phantom o e opera" for an opportunity to capture a sweet memory for another year to come. The qn is," Is it worth his 160?"
Well, so what's that opportunity? In what light one may ask?

Landed

Who's talking? Tis the little chicks in the bamboo pole! They need to be fed every 5 mins. Must be tough being parents!

Incubating

Only that the male is doing all the work here. Unusually tolerant of my presence.
Tis Jef'f's second field trip with his newly found wendy II. Seems a bit strange and unnatural. The body appears to be under exposing like the first generation body. Interestingly for every man he met, the stranger would like to take a peek and exhibit extreme curiosity what Jeff was doing. Seems like relationship has improved tremendously or is a direct warranty of attention?!

栖息

又是一个周末了。待几时重见天日?耳边又传来一阵清翠的歌声。眼明了。耳清了。心也静了。而人也平了。曾几何时如此执着。何不放手,那也无妨。就快结束了吧?

Charmed

Tip of the ice-berg.
The human emotions is a very strange concoction of complex feelings conceived at the point of development indescript by mere words alone. Deviate by a hair and all will fall into despair. Like a double-sided sword, it can either make or break, depending on how its wield.

Who am I?

Can't help it but created another silhouette of this bird in bright daylight. -3eV did the trick. Somehow, I find wendy (I) more workable with blacks but probably it's just me. Gonna put in more efforts to get this new toy worth its gold.

体会

生活的真谛。以为是真,竟是虚伪。真诚还来的是背叛。背叛人的老实,人的忱恳。但这一切未尝不是修行的必经之路。能体会是一种福气。
志伟的福气直线上升。体会...

The parent birds took turn to feed their chicks, hidden in the cavity of a bamboo trunk. Nearing lunch time, apparently the feeding frequency dropped to a trickle of 8-10mins between visit. Pity can't get to see the little ones. Interestingly, this pair has decided to nest off a makeshift man-made trunk by a fairly busy beach. To Jeff, the ability to witness this sight at eye level is simply rewarding, even if to skip lunch.

Roosting

A grey Heron by the Squance rock where the black-naped terns nest year round. By comparison, tis only a tiny island in the middle of nowhere.
Seems that the 1.3x is loosing its appeal. No doubt I crop less with a 1.3FLM but somehow the effect is just not there.

Green and glossy

Pairing time. Nesting time. Come May, the eggs would have hatched and we will see tiny beak screaming for food.
In a perplexing turn of events, A.M. has abandoned his life long companion, Canon, and turned to the carrots dangled by Nikon. It is clear that this dramatic change must be related to monetary gains.
Got it?
