My Deamon- Brand New Year

Yap it appears a bit blur blur, like myself after lull. Like Daemon like Master. That's my cat.

Could barely scrape through the first few pages of Sun Tzu's Art of War. Frequency is quite out of tune since holidaying for the past 2 months.

And I found D to be acting strange with my toys. With the long zm, it refuses to achieve focus between 350-400mm range. On one occassion on the wide zm, a defocused image will be considered as a gd image by the processor. And the Prime is definitely one of a kind. The in body focus tuning acts strange on this prime too. Seems to behave inconsistently unlike the Canon Ball.

Happy New Year to all viewers and bloggers alike. May this new year hail new resolution and bring prosperity to all.

Tonkin snub-nosed monkey

Thought to be extinct for much of the twentieth century until its 'rediscovery' in 1989, it's considered one of the vertebrates closest to extinction anywhere in the world. Rhinopithecus avunculus.

Interrogation

A picture paints a thousand words. However what we see here is definitely very misleading. The body language of both subjects is very suggestive, leading one to conclude a victim and bully scenario, which is untrue. In fact, photo tells more lies that the truth cause intepretation lies in the eyes of the beholder.

Light tunnel

Yet another unexpected new toy to the almost complete collection. This is definitely a stunner and it already is. Probably my legs are gonna take a rest for my fingers to do the zooming. Wide primes gonna take a back seat, for now.

Strange world

Seems like the toys are streaming in, one at a time. Almost complete now. However another predicament arises: the tele zm does not quite fit into the category of portability for overseas posting... maybe that will go, along with the newly acquired tc. Too greedy n too mych burden of the toy is detriment to the poor soul. Not to mention poor ms piggy. She has been ooiing non-stop since the day I try I rob her.

Finally, I signed on the dotted line and sealed my fate. What's strange is out of thin air, I got another offer hounding me repeated to join them. Definitely so cause it only goes to show the prowess of the gift of the gap. A kind word will create opportunity but a foul mouth will create havoc. 3 yrs into the working world has taught me the insidious side of the human being. Doesn't matter if the opponent is a friend, cause all will hanker after power and glory. How can I save myself/ n these people from this perpetual cycle of self destruction? Perhaps the answer lies in the Future Buddha.

...The answer lies in the kindness of the heart.

Breathless

If there is a King of the forest, look no further. Colors from Northern America.
Merry Christmas.
>> Sighting of a very strange bird before railway track to the SBWR. Resembled a x between a stork and a crane but possess the elegant posture of a white stork but only smaller in size. Instead of the pointy beak, it has a curved and pouty looking orange beak shaped like that of a garuda. Appear greyish white with a hint of dark feathers on its wings. Looks exactly like a soft-toy out of disney land.

Future Buddha

From Nepal to India to Taiwan and back home each has its own version of the future buddha but all for a common goal- salvation from the savage cycle of reincarnation. Reincarnation can take many forms and its not restricted to the mystical reborn in the Buddhist belief. If you look into you life and reflect upon yourself, you will find that sometimes you seem to be locked in a vicious cycle that cannot be broken. This is a classical example of reincarnation.
Still recall from Nepal a Buddha idol with a hand gesture of perpetual with no beginning and no ending. Perhaps this is what some of us are looking for. If you are here by this blog then probably you are already have know the answer.

Clarity

It was pouring like no tomorrow, but an opportunity lies awaiting in the rain, just for Jeff to discover. Honey creeper in the rain.
Apparently, it has several layers of feathers. The external coat is characterised by flambouyantly colored contour feathers. They provide the colour and the shape of the bird. A layer beneath is the Afterfeather that provide an extra layer of warmth. Finally to its skin is the down feathers, the feathers that are responsible for keeping the bird warm. On certain occassions from certain angle, one can take a peek at its Afterfeather of this bird. It's white incolour. The crimson sunbird has it too.

>> what's with the cabbies today??? Just refused to drive to my birding location, despite quoting exorbitant prices. Seems like the last of my little terns is near. Oh dear.

Blue-grey Tanager

When all the light goes out, there is only one remaining... Jeff's little star.
>>The power of Capture NX is remarkable. Localised details/highlight/shadow control is one of a kind. Where lightroom showed uniform changes, structured and minute alternations can be made in NX, giving rise to smooth color tones and good color fidelity.
...the prospect of working in the middle east is quite new and refreshing to an asian city thriving hermit called Jeff. He wonders what lies ahead. No it never really occur to him the path should be this way but what must be must be. Life is just like a box of chocolate cause you never know what you gonna get.

A new era

It lies in waiting for the moment to manifest itself. A new life awaits.
>> the season of the terns is back. the breeding cycle will repeat itself and Jeff will be there to feast his eyes on the action once more, though this time at leisure.

野鹤闲云的日子

For the past few days the sky was grey and pouring all day. Just when can I see the sun again? ... Maybe I can fly to the pole to enjoy the neverwinter days...

>>>or perhaps it's waiting for the new D to arrive :D

Playground

Recently I have been treating just about everything I do as a mini project. Not sure if it's a good sign but it appear to make me more focused in whatever I do. Basically I turn everything into my toy. Play time has only begun. Part of living.
Congratulations, Jeff have just surmounted his mental block. Another window welcomes him with open arms. The more provocative the experience the better. Life's too short for regrets.

>>>Finally entered the Dark Side...

Poon Hill- Ghorepani

Fast forwarding to the finale. Probably one would expect a grand vista of the mountain range but probably that's just too boring. A quick search on the internet will reveal a dozen. Folks preparing for the sunrise one cold morning. With the wind blasting in my face, I struggled to keep my tadpole eyes open behind my thick glasses. The moment has come...

D3 shock

Nope, Jeff ain't one who goes blabber about equipment but this new kid on the block stuns me plenty with it's ultra bright viewfinder. Appears even bigger than 5D no joke. Simply breath-taking. In comparison, it's smaller cousin the D300 has probably 1/2 of its viewing area. Pretty tough decision to go for the mega D3 due to its sheer weight. Chunkier than I thought it would be. Would be very difficult for an immediate decision. At a cool 7 grand per body the D3 doesnt come cheap but I guess it's functions speak for itself. Very close to plunking down those cash!

Durbar square

Probably the only time when i find a 16mm lens to be desirable and the Durbar square simply screamed at me for wide angle frames. Stuck at 24mm, the only way to get a decent yet innovative shot was probably a reflection of the various temples in the square. Under exposing by a full stop preserved the provia blue sky perfectly, whilst capturing a major part of the temple in the mirror image. The square is central to the local people. Just sitting by a corner to watch the flow of time can be quite interesting. Well I did just that in Patan for 2 hours on a bench overloooking the entire square. A local folk ambered over for a short chat too.
Oh Jeff must be from Japan/Korea.
