I understand some may expect extensive writing from Jeff. However, he has decided to let his images do the talking.

In the heart of Amritsar

The golden temple epitomizes the staunch faith of the local sikh community. While it is a holy ground to those who believes in its healing power, it is the same place that witnessed some bloodiest head-to-head conflict between the locals and the government body centuries ago. Ironically with the passage of time, within the confines of this sacred ground, one can still find some remnant extremists, for which Jeff and his buddy was very very fortunate to be acquainted with. Lest a holy ground, they were able to leave the place unscathed.

If Jeff return alive, you will see an update one week later. Else bye bye.

耗尽一生的精力不为名,利,权。退一步海阔天空。又问何人能舍得?舍得舍得。心本善,又何人来玷污?善。由心而发。因果因果。没因没果。

Inversion

Another yellow to the page. Seems like the prophecy for the year of the dragon has come true. Wicked year but also year to conserve energy and buildup strength depleted from last year. Can Jeff make merry? No problem. Just a job.

Cordyceps lady

The lady was equipped with a glib tongue. However, she was no match for a couple who were ultra persistent in haggling. Finally, the couple walked away with a smile painted on their face.

Sucking a sweet

Jeff was waiting for the cable car to mount Jade dragon snow mountain. Beyond this, a noisy KTV session was jarring the skin out of him. Fortuately, the incessant droning of a hasky male ceased.

Seeking

Lost and found. Does it give a complete picture? The answer is no. Images always portray a moment in time but never the truth. It merely captures a split second of an action or activity but can never tell the entire story. Just because they appear to be seaching for something on the ground imply they have lost an item or two? Similarly, judging a book by its cover can never tell whether the content is exciting. Tis only when one completes the entire chapter that one will know the real story. Then again, tis what the author wants the reader to believe. Merely fiction. Nothing is concrete, nothing is true.

For a rest

Of late, Jeff has been ensnarled with a strange interest: shooting contruction workers. But just what gives he doesn't have a clue. Apparently, there is truth in the very living as one who works under the sun, enduring the merciless radiation from our sun.
Just what kind of truth does Jeff seek in life one may ask? Or tis the grievence from a unsettling episode that would not go away. Life's ugly as well as beautiful. Take our pick.

Yellow

Another yellow companion to add to the already garish site. An olive-winged bulbul.
Strangely, the prospect of a "holiday" did not elicit as much excitment as Jeff would love. Probably getting metnally lethargic nowadays. The Himalayas, here I come.

Culture

Fungal invasion. Strangely, this reminds Jeff of Mars attack.

Totally wicked!

There is always a first for everything. Ever seen a wild bird playing bully? Target was an elderly chap fishing by the pond when this yellow Heron just refused to keep its feet off the fishing line. It took two man and a net to get it tamed. Finally, this little feather decided that its time to end this charade and took off in the opposite direction. While on his way back. A furry little creature caught Jeff's attention. It was perched precariously on a tiny branch that extended over a pedestrian walkway. It must be soo well-camouflage that it took a trained eyes to notice that it's actually a fledging little Heron. Looked just like a fur ball all buffed up. As usual, the nit-witted Jeff is not as skilled at concealing than at framing, the little one soon took notice and began to aim its stony gaze at him. Apparently, these creatures have developed a sense of alert since young and would attempt to take to higher ground whenever possible. A few merry -go-round and it would transfix its gaze on Jeff however he turn. Cute!

Loving pair

Tis time of the year when many avian feathers are preparing for reproduction. The olive-backed is no exception. Unlike the baya weaver where the male did all the nest building for the female to inspect, it appears that the male is using its eye-power to hasten the female counterpart to omplete the nest ASAP. Interesting isn't it?

Nesting materials comprised of fluffy flower petals to dried leaves. Frequency could range from 10 to 20 ferry service per hour. Top image shown female olive-backed tending to her nest meticulously.

Female doing delivery while the male inspects the semi-completed nest.
Soon we will get to see the little ones but first the eggs must be fertilized!

嗷嗷待哺

Got a niggling feeling that I must take a last look and it pays to listen to my heart. Yes the chicks are pretty grown and about to leave its nest anytime soon. However, I noticed that only one of the chicks was fed, leaving the other hungry for more. Probably related to the way the parent bird came in. There's just insufficient space for the parent to feed head on since the chicks took up the frontal periphery of the bamboo edge facing land. The only way for the parent to bank in was to make a short detour from front to the back to feed its chicks.
