Almost forgotten the beauty of available light. It simply sets my heart aflutter with ultra-bright lenses... a 400 F2.8VR would be nice. But considering the hefty price tag, the thought disappeared into thin air.
Addition of 1.7x to the family came as a shock. My long lens skills was incapable of mastering this monster addition w/o VR! I simply sucks. Need to work out more and improve stability further. Can imagine more cash dump into a ballhead. Must have been 3 years.

Duel
Studying mammals has the advantage of the learning the gift of fore-sight sooner than feathered friends. Probably too fast that one turns too judge-mental. Again, need some form of self restraint else would be lost in a fairy land of its own.
Sometimes, I really wonder what's e eye in the head see. Everyday is a mystery and every work is a fine surprise.
Rule #1: U must enjoy and take pride in what u do
Rule #2: Have the right patience and make the right decision to stay or continue waiting
Rule #3: Always strike in the worst weather conditions

Courtship II
All it took was a crackle of screams and the male will all take flight to look for food to feed her. Pampered? or Privilege? Poor gold fish. Out of the 200 images created from these 2 field trips, this came up top with the extremely rare perspective giving the image an overall 3d effect. No PS. Guess all the elements were just right. Some point in time, the male tried to mount her after days of feeding courtship. However, the process was a miss or perhaps it all ended too quickly!
At the end of the day, Jeff turned into a red-faced monkey from the afternoon tan. No amount of sun-screen can retard UV damage.

Courtship
The male will bring the female food as part of its courtship ritual. Seems a bit late into the season but then every goes!
Strangely, the nesting breeding season for this species has delayed by a month whilst the dollar bird nesting period has been brought forward by about a week. Wonder what's with mother nature??

Envy
Let's say man are born equal with no selectivity, that curiosity originates from ignorance. Yet one species is always more ignorant that the other or so I thought until today. Next time if u ever see a person in the field concentrating on making a photograph, especially with a long lens, all ye better steer clear. Old Jeffie doesn't have much patience with peek-a-boo, which makes me wonder just how ugly locals can be. Even the elderly and wise can do this yet some banana man cant. Watch ur heads! If u want respect then u gonna earn it.
With the ranting done, back to focus. Seems that the poles might not survive for another season. Most have hollowed and weakened from the aggressive nesting behaviors of these feathers. Coupled with sea water, these elements became the ultimate ingredients for accelerated corrosion and final degradation and decay. Really wished something can be done to preserve those poles so that these feathers can continue to breed come next year.

Me
Pretty face :). Its family has been living in the enclosure as star-attractions for many years now and appears to be adapting very well to its new environment. Perhaps many would disagree but the price of a few primates is worth the general education of the public, which sad to say is utterly ignorant of subjects outside their species. Of course the perfect solution would be no sacrifice at all.
>>Unexpected new toy to re-ignite the flames for feathers :D
