In the heart of Amritsar
The golden temple epitomizes the staunch faith of the local sikh community. While it is a holy ground to those who believes in its healing power, it is the same place that witnessed some bloodiest head-to-head conflict between the locals and the government body centuries ago. Ironically with the passage of time, within the confines of this sacred ground, one can still find some remnant extremists, for which Jeff and his buddy was very very fortunate to be acquainted with. Lest a holy ground, they were able to leave the place unscathed.

Seeking
Lost and found. Does it give a complete picture? The answer is no. Images always portray a moment in time but never the truth. It merely captures a split second of an action or activity but can never tell the entire story. Just because they appear to be seaching for something on the ground imply they have lost an item or two? Similarly, judging a book by its cover can never tell whether the content is exciting. Tis only when one completes the entire chapter that one will know the real story. Then again, tis what the author wants the reader to believe. Merely fiction. Nothing is concrete, nothing is true.

For a rest
Of late, Jeff has been ensnarled with a strange interest: shooting contruction workers. But just what gives he doesn't have a clue. Apparently, there is truth in the very living as one who works under the sun, enduring the merciless radiation from our sun.
Just what kind of truth does Jeff seek in life one may ask? Or tis the grievence from a unsettling episode that would not go away. Life's ugly as well as beautiful. Take our pick.

Totally wicked!
There is always a first for everything. Ever seen a wild bird playing bully? Target was an elderly chap fishing by the pond when this yellow Heron just refused to keep its feet off the fishing line. It took two man and a net to get it tamed. Finally, this little feather decided that its time to end this charade and took off in the opposite direction. While on his way back. A furry little creature caught Jeff's attention. It was perched precariously on a tiny branch that extended over a pedestrian walkway. It must be soo well-camouflage that it took a trained eyes to notice that it's actually a fledging little Heron. Looked just like a fur ball all buffed up. As usual, the nit-witted Jeff is not as skilled at concealing than at framing, the little one soon took notice and began to aim its stony gaze at him. Apparently, these creatures have developed a sense of alert since young and would attempt to take to higher ground whenever possible. A few merry -go-round and it would transfix its gaze on Jeff however he turn. Cute!

Loving pair
Tis time of the year when many avian feathers are preparing for reproduction. The olive-backed is no exception. Unlike the baya weaver where the male did all the nest building for the female to inspect, it appears that the male is using its eye-power to hasten the female counterpart to omplete the nest ASAP. Interesting isn't it?
Nesting materials comprised of fluffy flower petals to dried leaves. Frequency could range from 10 to 20 ferry service per hour. Top image shown female olive-backed tending to her nest meticulously.

嗷嗷待哺
Got a niggling feeling that I must take a last look and it pays to listen to my heart. Yes the chicks are pretty grown and about to leave its nest anytime soon. However, I noticed that only one of the chicks was fed, leaving the other hungry for more. Probably related to the way the parent bird came in. There's just insufficient space for the parent to feed head on since the chicks took up the frontal periphery of the bamboo edge facing land. The only way for the parent to bank in was to make a short detour from front to the back to feed its chicks.
