shadows

It always fascinates Jeff how shadows can be used to convey emotions. In Bali, he found some irresistible opportunities to indulge this fetish. The Uluwatu temple scene presented plenty of opportunities for photography. But the lame Jeff cannot take all, probably slowed down significantly by the varicella-zoster virus and the unforgettable incident of monkey snatch thief. Yes, a trained Marquee snatched my glasses and in return I had to pay the local a tiny fee to get it back. But the primates are not to be blamed. Food were scarce. The locals used food as rewards to retrieve stolen items. The primates are not stupid at all.
Well, Jeff was climbing the steps to the temple when he saw this elderly chap standing and apparently posing against the sun. How could Jeff refuse? Flare was pretty well controlled but some got through. Well any lens into the sun is designed for disaster. The 85mm prime performed very well.
And the primates that have earned themselves an unsavoury reputation.

P.S. A salient victory first pass with Tim. Feeling wonderful.
