Finding my rainbow

It always surprises Jeff for what he can see and capture on a foreign land. It goes to show the extend to which Jeff can see through both his eyes and his heart. The varicella-zoster virus must be a blessing in disguise. The Tanalot is a temple built out at sea by the same monk who built the Uluwatu Temple. Used to be places for pure worship, these temples have seen an increase in human traffic, thanks for the government's pro-tourist policy. Well, at 60% of its GDP, one can imagine the lures of tourist dollars for Bali. And who says that a temple is meant only for worship? This local thinks otherwise.

Water is fantastic as a photographic subject given the number of different states and colors it can take, and how they may change from minute to minute. It's my favorite medium.

I finally found the words to fillin

>>The black volcanic rocks represent the hardship these locals have to endure. They are not rich but their traditions has bestowed upon them a colorful lifestyle. The latter is represented by the colored reflection in the water puddle. The irony about the rainbow in the water puddle is the closer one moves towards the rainbow, the further it recedes from one's vision and ultimately diminishes. Of course we know this based on light and angle of polarisation theory but to apply to these Balinese, it is clear they are trying to make ends meet but no matter how hard they try, they cannot improve their current predicament i.e. lure in the tourist for the dollar or shun them to preserve their tradition. Either way they will starve physically or traditionally. This is paradox. <<
