In all its glory. The crimson manifested for a split second before being chased away by the resident male plain-throated sunbird. As agressive as before. In fact, I dun see a second feather around long enough to give the shutter a workout. The entire ginger garden has been monopolised by the plain pirates duo!

While the details resolved by the 500 is impressive, Jeff misses the closing focusing ability of his 300. The BG control is just not there. The use of extension tube (36mm) gobbles up about 1/2 stop of light so use with care. Nevertheless, spidey and gang made my day. Back to the good old times of laboratory rat! Tis Jeff san.
