e satisfaction derived from taking portraits of birds is one gets to understand its behavior and its feathers better. for this female magpie robin, it has entered a strange phase when its under belly turned dull orange. this is a first observation, perhaps attributed to the breeding season or certain excursion (genetic). there have been other sightings of such phase else where by fellow birders too.

so birding is more than observation. it's science.
